about us

Our Vision

We founded The Love, Sex, and Gender Center because we believe everyone has the right to feel vibrancy and fulfillment in their love and sex lives. Love, pleasure, and sex are integral to our human experience. We also believe in the safe, therapeutic use of psychedelics to support depth of healing, personal, and spiritual growth.

We are a collective of sex, relationship, and ketamine therapists who are passionate about informing and empowering our community through psychotherapy and coaching.

Sex Therapist

Monique Vincent, MA, LPCC

Specialties: Addiction, Compulsion, and Men’s Work

I am a contemplative psychotherapist grounded in mindfulness and the rich intersection of psychology and spirituality. My work invites clients into deeper connection with themselves and their lived experience, with an emphasis on cultivating compassion, presence, joy, and insight.

Rooted in Buddhist psychology and the principles of Contemplative Psychotherapy, I earned my Master’s degree from Naropa University and have received advanced training in working with sexuality, addiction, and meditative practices. My approach is integrative and collaborative, weaving together contemplative and traditional modalities—including attachment theory, somatic work, and mindfulness-based interventions.

Much of my work centers around men and AMAB individuals seeking to reclaim emotional depth, vulnerability, and intimacy in their lives. With nearly a decade of corporate experience, I bring an embodied understanding of the high-performance culture many men navigate—and how it often distances them from their inner emotional world an

Ketamine Therapist, Relationship and Sex Therapist

Heather Bourne MA, LPCC

Specialties: Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for couples and individuals, Couples Therapy, Sex therapy

Intimacy is the foundation of all relationships, and that begins with your relationship to yourself. I am excited to support you in reclaiming your power and cultivating deeply satisfying relationships by developing a deeper awareness of your body and spirit.

I earned my Master of Arts in Somatic Counseling from Naropa University and currently practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT). My greatest joy in life is creating safe spaces for people to reconnect with the wisdom of their bodies. In today’s chaotic world, many of us struggle with stress, disconnection, and relational challenges. I believe heart-centered therapy is a transformative tool to help clients reclaim their sense of agency, deepen their connection to themselves and others, and awaken to their own inner wisdom.

I work with individuals and couples through a somatic, attachment-oriented lens. My goal is to guide clients in building greater awareness of their bodies, cultivating trust, and meeting emotional barriers with compassion. I draw from dance/movement therapy and sensorimotor psychotherapy to assist clients through empowering, creative interventions. For couples, I incorporate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) techniques to help navigate conflict, improve communication, and foster deeper intimacy by exploring both emotional and physical dynamics within their relationships.

I also offer Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT) to support clients in accessing deeper layers of healing, self-discovery, and transformation. With a holistic approach, I integrate ketamine as a powerful tool for unlocking new perspectives, processing trauma, and facilitating emotional breakthroughs. My background in somatic therapy and dance/movement therapy allows me to help clients integrate the experiences that arise during these sessions into their bodies and daily lives, creating lasting change.

As an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and an advocate for marginalized populations, I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for all individuals. I work with clients of all identities and backgrounds, honoring their unique experiences and challenges while supporting them in their healing and growth.

SEX AND RELATIONSHIP COACH

Sam Charles

I am a somatic-based Sex & Relationship Coach with focus areas in sexual and identity exploration, alternative relationships, getting relationships unstuck, and psychedelic integration. I envision a world where our relationships are free to expand beyond societal norms, where we deserve to be celebrated for being our most authentic selves, and where we can thrive in our relationships.

I am trained in the Somatica® Method, which is somatic (of the body), experiential (experience-based), and mutually vulnerable. In this method, we use the client/practitioner relationship as an avenue for growth. It’s an incredibly powerful modality that can be fun, engaging, dynamic, and yield profound differences in how we navigate the world!

Before my life as a Coach, I’ve learned from a variety of different personal and professional experiences. I have been in a peer-led Men’s group dedicated to personal and spiritual growth for 10 years. I’ve studied sexuality, meditation and Conscious Leadership. I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from CU Boulder. I’ve worked as a project manager, program manager, and managed teams in climate tech. I love to draw from my diverse background and skills in order to support my clients.

I believe psychedelics have the potential to support us in unwinding challenging patterns, release limiting beliefs, and unlock deep self-growth. My 20+ year journey with psychedelics has fostered tremendous growth for myself and I’m excited to utilize this to support my clients in integrating learnings from this type of exploration into their lives.

I am LGBTQIAP+ BDSM inclusive, sex-positive, and kink allied. I support individuals, couples, and polycules in office in Boulder, CO and worldwide, virtually.

SEX AND COUPLES THERAPIST

Alexander Goodyear, MA, LPCC

I’m dedicated to helping people enhance relationships and foster emotional intimacy. I bring a deep passion and skill for couples and sex therapy. It’s incredibly vulnerable to talk about relationship struggles especially if they are connected to sex. I support my clients by helping them to release shame and claim their worthiness for love and the relationship they desire.

I combine evidence-based techniques with a profound understanding of human connection. I would be honored to guide you toward healthier communication, greater mutual understanding, and a more fulfilling intimate life.

I particularly love supporting individuals and couples exploring polyamory and ethical non-monogamy, although I support whatever relationship dynamic works best for you. My work with couples is attachment-focused – prioritizing developing a secure bond where both of you get to feel safe in the relationship.

In addition to couples, I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, relational distress, sexuality, identity distress, and life transitions. Through a mindfulness-based lens, I can support you in cultivating more awareness, embodiment, somatic resources, congruence, authenticity, and empowerment. I believe the victory is in the process.

I am an LPCC with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health, with a concentration in Mindfulness and Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University. I utilize Gestalt, IFS, attachment-based, emotion-focused, and relational approaches in my work to invoke an individual’s (and couples’) unique inherent wisdom.

I passionately work with adults, and couples to better understand themselves by creating an open, warm, and compassionate environment. As an adopted, Queer cis-man of color I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community, as well as folx who hold other marginalized identities. There is power in your story being heard. You are not alone.

Sex and Couples Therapist, Co-Director

Kate Rose DeCoste, MA, LPC

I am a mindfulness-based psychotherapist who specializes in cultivating secure-relationship attachment and healthy sexuality in individuals and couples. My work focuses on empowerment and liberation, centering on intimacy and desire. I believe intimacy begins with genuine connection, compassion rooted in presence, and radical honesty.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in the integration of attachment theory and somatic awareness to provide a basis for working with relationships in a collaborative and creative way, individual to each client and couple’s unique expression. A graduate of Naropa University in Transpersonal Psychology, I blend in my Master’s level training with a Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT Level I Certified). I also hold a certificate in advanced training in Gestalt Eco-Therapy, a nature and body-based healing modality that incorporates avenues of healing attachment wounds, addiction, and sexuality through re-learning attunement and attachment to self and our eco-system.

Over the past seven years, I have immersed myself in multiple lineages and teachings of Tantric, Taoist & Sacred Sexuality, as well as taken workshops under the International Institute of Clinical Sexology.

I work with individuals diverse in sexual expression, gender, and relationship style.

My areas of focus include guiding individuals and couples towards secure attachment, rebuilding trust and safety after trauma, healing relationships with body image, alternative relationship styles, dismantling shame, sacred sexuality, and psychedelic integration. I am a multicultural and trauma-informed counselor, LGBTQIAP+ BDSM inclusive, sex-positive, and kink allied.

I am so passionate about this work because I believe in every given moment, we are in a relationship, and through relationships have choices in corrective healing experiences and rewiring neural pathways to fully experience the vastness of our humanness.
